Overview

Quinton's Bar & Deli, nestled on East Grand Avenue in Des Moines, offers a refreshing take on the classic bar and grill experience. This vibrant spot combines a lively atmosphere with carefully crafted dishes that cater to a diverse crowd, making it an ideal destination for families, casual diners, and those seeking comfort food with a twist.

The menu at Quinton's is a testament to both variety and quality. Beyond its well-curated selection of burgers and sandwiches, the deli shines with its hearty salads and inventive spud dishes. The Chicken Fiesta salad, featuring marinated chicken crowned with fresh avocado and a zesty homemade salsa, stands out for its balance of bold flavors and wholesome ingredients. Meanwhile, the Greek salad offers a refreshing medley of crisp vegetables, feta, and olives, paired perfectly with a tangy dressing that complements the Mediterranean notes.

One of the highlights that sets Quinton's apart is the creative spin on loaded potatoes, or "spuds," infused with ingredients that elevate comfort food to a new level. The Reuben Spuddard, layered with corned beef, Swiss cheese, and a house-made 1000 Island drizzle, delivers a satisfying punch reminiscent of a classic deli sandwich but served in a more approachable format. These dishes invite patrons to enjoy bold, familiar flavors in a relaxed, unpretentious setting.

The environment of Quinton's Bar & Deli balances casual warmth with an energetic vibe, making it a welcoming spot for both groups and solo visitors. Families will appreciate the thoughtfully designed kid’s menu, which includes approachable classics like mac and cheese and chicken tenders, allowing younger guests to find familiar comfort alongside the more adventurous adult plates.

Strategically located in the heart of Des Moines, Quinton's benefits from its accessible locale, drawing in neighborhood regulars as well as visitors exploring the city’s culinary scene. The dining space reflects the brand’s dedication to inclusivity, where the buzz of a neighborhood bar meets the inviting charm of a local deli.

In summary, Quinton's Bar & Deli offers a well-rounded experience that honors tradition while embracing inventive flavors. Its combination of solid American fare, thoughtful menu choices, and lively ambiance makes it a standout destination for anyone looking to enjoy a refined yet unpretentious bar and grill in Des Moines.

I love their automated deals generated on their Facebook page with messenger. My youngest son and I got a high quality burger cooked to our preference with a meal for the same price we could get fast food meal deals! They offer drinks and the big screen for your social time or a nice family meal like ours shown here. Oh, and they have a cash discount my oldest son can share value on for both the consumer and business owner.

Food has been always been on par and frankly kind of surprised me on how good it is for the atmosphere. Pretty good variety for different diet types. Place is basically hole in the wall gem. Service is phenomenal. All the servers/bartenders are great folks. Been here 20+ times for lunch time.

We went last night for some drinks and appetizers and our waiter was awesome! The entire staff were amazing (Mustafa was our bar tender last night). I had the Spinach & Artichoke dip, and we all shared the Jumbo wings, “Lay off me I’m starving” fries, the Chislic (Tender steak bites…) and we ordered the No More Tears (on tap) which wasn’t as bitter as I expected it to be due to how dark it is. It had a sweet hint to it. The Peanut Butter was also really good. We came back today to order more Chislic for lunch and we also got the Jalapeño Cheese Curds (EVERYTHING is so good here!) The waiting staff today have also been absolutely exceptional. Claire was our waitress today and she was absolutely the nicest and friendliest! The bar tender today (Izzy) was also so friendly and helpful. We will definitely make this a regular stop when in town!

We stopped in Friday afternoon, enjoyed the chill environment and friendly service. Since it was a bit chilly out we opted for bread bowls and half sandwiches. The sandwiches went fast and the soup slowed us back down. Everything was pretty good and decently price.

Stopped here for lunch while exploring the East Village on my day off. Wonderful service and the food is excellent!!! I ordered the Chief Beef and their homemade fries. The front windows open like a garage door giving an indoor dining experience an outdoor dining feel.

Came here for lunch, it was pretty quiet and wasn't too busy. Food came out quickly and tasted great. Staff was friendly and attentive. My biggest compliment goes to their wide beer selection. It was a great place to stop at for lunch and seems like a great place for a night crowd.
